Employee Compliance Reporting

The law requires some employers to monitor certain financial transactions made by their employees. We offer a reporting service that can automate the compliance reporting of employees’ accounts, holdings and transactions. This supports both the employer and employee to manage the activity to assist with compliance requirements.

Employers

The service helps to support any regulated financial firms, that are obligated to monitor the employee’s personal dealings to support with various compliance policies. It helps employers monitor trading activity in line with their internal compliance and ethics policies, as well as their regulatory obligations. Employee Compliance Reporting also saves time and effort for the employer’s employees who no longer need to download statements and transactions and share with their employer.

This Q&A document provides steps on how an employer can complete the setup, what reports are available to request such as employee’s account, holdings and transaction data and service delivery and ongoing support.

Employees

Once an employer has partnered with Fidelity for this service, employees can save time and effort by automating sharing statements and transactions with their employer keeping them informed of investment activity and helping to avoid conflicts of interest.

We have put together a client guide which includes step-by-step instructions on how to register for the service.

Setting up employee compliance reporting takes only a few moments - employees need to ask their employer’s compliance team for their Fidelity ‘employer code’,

It is worth noting that this service can also be used to provide manual duplicate trade confirmations to your accountant if you have one.

Employees need to turn off this service if/when they leave their employer.
